Refund & Return Policy

Thank you for shopping at lionreads.lk. We value your satisfaction and aim to make returns and refunds simple and fair. This policy explains when and how you can return items and receive refunds or exchanges.

Returns

We accept returns within 7 days of delivery. To be eligible, the item must be unused, in the same condition you received it, and in its original packaging with any inserts.

  • Eligible reasons include: wrong item delivered, manufacturing defects (e.g., misprint, loose binding), or damage in transit.
  • Change-of-mind returns are accepted for unopened books in resalable condition.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll notify you of approval or rejection. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method or as store credit.

  • Shipping fees: The original delivery fee of Rs. 350 is non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong/defective/damaged on arrival).
  • Timing: After approval, refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank/provider.

Exchanges

If you’d like the same title in replacement (for defects, damage, or wrong item), we’ll send a replacement after approval. If the item is out of stock, we’ll offer a refund or store credit.

Non-Returnable / Non-Refundable Items

  • Digital products/downloads and online course access once accessed or downloaded.
  • Gift cards and store credit.
  • Personalized or custom-made items (if any).
  • Items showing use (writing/highlighting, water damage, odors) or missing pages/inserts.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the issue. We will arrange a replacement or refund after verification.

Return Shipping

  • Our error (wrong/defective/damaged): We cover the return courier or arrange pickup.
  • Change of mind: Customer pays the return courier cost.
  • Re-delivery: If a parcel is returned due to an incorrect address, repeated failed delivery attempts, or refusal at delivery, re-shipping can be arranged with an additional Rs. 350 fee.

Processing Time

Returns, exchanges, and refunds are processed within 3–5 business days after we receive your returned item. Your bank or provider may require an additional 5–10 business days to post the refund.

Delivery & Courier

We deliver within Sri Lanka only via Koombiyo Delivery. The flat delivery fee is Rs. 350 per order. Delivery times vary by location and courier operations (public holidays, weather, routing). For missing parcels, we coordinate with the courier; confirmed lost parcels will be replaced or refunded.

How to Start a Return

Contact us within 7 days of delivery with your order details:

Include your Order ID, reason for return, and photos for damage/defect claims. We’ll confirm eligibility and provide return instructions or arrange pickup.

This policy is designed to align with common e-commerce practices and payment gateway requirements. Where Sri Lankan consumer law grants you additional rights, those rights prevail.
